Enoptix and Robot Dentist added to Spring Awakening

We are very proud to announce that Rage Face Record’s own, Enoptix and The Robot Dentist will be joining some of the best talent in the world on the main stage this summer, at Chicago’s, Spring Awakening Festival. After a grueling voting competition, the guys secured a spot to compete at The Mid for a chance to play the festival. Long story short, after much production preparation, Enoptix and The Robot Dentist dropped a 100 percent original set, winning over the crowd and the judges at The Mid. Now, the boys are hard at work in the studio to finish up a bunch of “work in progress” tracks, so they can cause mayhem at Spring Awakening. These two are not new to the production game, with years and years of dedication, the diligence and belief in themselves, seems to have shined through. Spring Awakening festival is put together by React Presents, the same people that have brought Chicago, North Coast Music Festival for the past two years. Spring Awakening is the first ever massive, Chicago, electronic music only festival. We are very humble to have our artists share the stage with acts such as, Skrillex, Moby, Flux Pavilion, Dillon Francis, our local friends, Midnight Conspiracy, and so many amazing artists. Way before we ever won a competition with react, we have been fans, and we still are. We could not be more excited to throw down for Chicago, and to join the crowd afterwards and rage some face ourselves. See you at soldier field!

–This week we bring you a mix from our good homie Miss Amphetamine, born Kristina Marie Jackson. Miss A is a fresh up-and-coming DJ from Urbana, IL. Known and loved for the fluid energy of her mixing, Amphetamine takes no time at all to identify herself through the speakers. Whether it’s a sexy mash-up or volatile drop that draws you in, you’ll soon find that her biggest attribute comes from universal appeal. Frat brothers, bassheads, green room ravers, and people who don’t even like dubstep have all seen the commotion. They’ve all felt the rush. With her lifelong passion and strong background in music, Miss A never fails to bring a DJ set to life. We at Rage Face Records are happy to have this sick new mix included on our new Power Rager mix installment. Midnight Conspiracy: Dead Fame Mixtape

Our friends from Chicago, Midnight Conspiracy, have just dropped a new mix tape, filled with originals & remixes, Cenob1te’s new track, “Onslaught” and a bunch of hard hitting dubstep & electro tracks. With a big summer ahead of them, Midnight Conspiracy is set to play a few Midwest festivals, and some major gigs across the country. A new EP is rumored to be in the works, as Chicago’s all-star producer, Graham Geren, likely works tirelessly to finish up productions for Midnight Conspiracy and Cenob1te. (Graham is one of Rage Face’s favorite producers!) The Dead Fame crew was gracious enough to have Enoptix out at the last big Dead Fame Bass show this past January, and have always shown us love. We have worked with the dead fame team on a few local events, and before that, as a crew, we have all been fans and supporters of the high quality production, and live performances these guys put on. Midnight Conspiracy was also just signed to EDM big-time booking agency, AM Only, so it looks like its only going to be forward, positive progress for these guys. With a plethora of remixes under their belt, a few smashing singles, and the recent debut of “The Eye Live Laser Light Show,” big things will be expected of this EP, they will not dissapoint! We are honored to have worked with such awesome people, and figured we would share the love back, and help get the word out on the new mix tape. This new Power Ragers release, comes straight from our new label mate, Esthetiq, aka Connor O’Rourke. Keeping his style changing with every moment, Esthetiq, is a must see live act, with an amazing energy on stage His production skills are not to be overlooked, and he will be developing his production skills with the Rage Face team. Dude is killing it right now out west, playing all over, and throwing some slamin dubstep and drum n’ bass parties. This is his second release with Rage Face Records, after his remix of The Robot Dentist’s “Trick Digital” from the Trick Digital Remix EP. Big Sandz, is the newest addition to Rage Face Records. We just finished up this recap video from a show he headlined in Chicago, at Lilly’s Bar, with Giacana R0ck, Team Koller, Falco, MLA, Doc ILL, and Zainghis. Big Sandz has now had 2 releases with Rage Face Records, is grinding away on his first EP, preparing some summer collaborations, and collecting some remixes. MCA, from Beastie Boys Dies

Straight out of Brooklyn NY, Adam “MCA” Yauch was one of the pioneers of rap music, and to be frank, one of the most respected musicians of my childhood. The Beastie Boys started off as a punk band in 1979, but dropped their first hip hop track in the early 80′s. These cats literally created the underground for themselves. Through years relentless hard-work, they were the first ever rap group to hit the billboard no 1 on the top 200 in the late 80′s, all while keeping a style of their own, for well over 20 years. They melded and sampled so many genres of music before it was cool to start sampling and creating that way, with funk/punk/soul/rock being among many of their influences, the Beastie Boys truly had a unique style that has never been paralleled. The Beastie Boys had their fair share of bad reviews, and unsuccessful tours in the early 90′s, but it never stopped them from making their art, and showing it off to as many people as they could. Without question, the Beastie Boys are one of the longest running, and most successful hip hop acts to ever grace this earth. Many musical acts today cite the Beastie Boys as an influence, further proving their relevance in pop culutre, and hip hop music, throughout the last 20-30 years. The Rage Face Records crew are all fans of the Beastie Boys, and we have even wondered if they were ever going to headline a summer festival one of these years. Looks like that may not occur, regardless we are all huge hip hop heads, and major fans of MCA, Mike D, & AD-Rock, so we figured showing some love was only necessary. RIP MCA, we’ll keep gunnin for that #1 spot.

Paper Diamond Drops New EP, “Wavesight”

Ever since last summer at Electric Forest Festival, the Rage Face Records crew have been huge fans of Paper Diamond. He absolutely murdered the forest while playing between a few huge dubstep acts, and has a fresh & unique style that is pretty much unforgettable once you see him live. A huge force in the Pretty Lights music movement, he has dropped music with the Colorado based Crew, as well as for free on his own website. Paper Diamond also runs a fresh record label/clothing line/art company called Elm & Oak. This man is everywhere!

This new EP is 3 fat tracks that we actually heard him drop down at UMF Miami last month, some straight up nasty, bass-heavy tunes, with some trap beat influence, fresh vocals, and a nice dubstep vibe! The new EP is out on Diplo’s label, Mad Decent, go show this man some love, because he is showing us so much by giving away these amazing tunes for free!

Our Friends, Fingers On Blast, Drop a New Mix from Flinch

Rage Face Records has freequently had mixes posted with Fingers On Blast, out of Canada. The man behind the scenes, Big Mitch, is also one of the major art creators for Rage Face Records. We are very proud to be a part of his blog often, and have his work showcased through our music. Today, he dropped a fat new dubstep and electro mix from LA’s own Flinch, one of the up and coming producers on 12th Planet’s label, SMOG. This mix is cluttered with amazing tracks, some originals, and west coast bangers. Get into it, and big ups 2 our homies from the north.

A few Rage Face artists, have gigged around with this guy a little bit, and his personality, and efforts musically, are infectious. A huge fan and lover of all things bass, especially dubstep, this guy is someone to watch out for, and his original productions will be coming out soon. Falco describes his style/self as, “Dubbed out Beats, FUNKY Synths, Hard hitting Basslines all with the Flair and skill like none other. You’ll never know what i’m gonna drop on the decks.” Rage Face Records is excited for his future, check him out!

RFR artist, Team Koller drops a Mix for Fingers On Blast!

Fingers On Blast has hosted some amazing mixes over the last year, from Klever, to Doorly, to other RFR artists Enoptix/Robot Dentist/Big Sandz, and now Team Koller. Formerly DJ Electrocron, artist Pat Koller has moved towards his new alter-ego, Team Koller with a clever ear, and a super unique style. Look for Team Koller original productions this fall, and a collaboration with The Robot Dentist, due out this summer. This Fingers On Blast! mix is infused with 10 or so of Team Koller’s mashups and original edits. The mix is very diverse within the house, electro house, and electro sub-genres of edm, and is sure to keep you moving. Enjoy free download, free grooves, and free love!
